Wireless Chargers

Your phone must support a compatible wireless-charging standard. Compatibility varies by device and charger, so check your phone manufacturer’s specifications and the individual charger’s product information before buying.

Wireless charging works through many slim, non-metallic cases. Thick cases, metal components, card holders and some accessories can interfere with charging or prevent correct alignment. A magnetic charger may also require a compatible magnetic case.

Charging speed depends on the phone, wireless charger, power adaptor and charging standard being used. Wired charging may offer higher maximum speeds for some devices, while wireless charging prioritises convenience.

A wireless charger still needs to receive power through a cable and suitable adaptor. Check whether an adaptor is included and use one that supports the charger’s required input and maximum output.

Standard wireless chargers require the device to be positioned correctly over the charging area. Magnetic chargers help compatible phones align and remain in position, but magnetic compatibility depends on the phone and case.

Multi-device wireless chargers can charge more than one compatible device, such as a phone, earbuds or smartwatch. Each charging position may support different devices and power outputs, so check the product specification carefully.
